  Behind The Scenes is a creative collaboration of Ukrainian art and music to raise funds for The Voices of Children Foundation, which supports children affected by the war in Ukraine.
  
  The piece is available as a ‘pay what you want’ donation. All proceeds will be donated to the Voices of Children Foundation in Ukraine.
  
  In the summer of 2022, former Pulled Apart By Horses guitarist and now electronic musician and composer James Adrian Brown began writing and collaborating with Ukrainian ambient musician Yurii Popov from the city of Ivano-Frankivsk in Western Ukraine. Yurii releases music under the alias 58918012. Even when Yurii found himself disrupted by air raid sirens and rocket attacks, he still went on to sculpt a delicate and thought provoking instrumental electronic composition with Brown.
  
  The track is based on their emotions and feelings towards what lies behind the war in Ukraine. The aim was to find the light within the struggle and direct attention away from the war and rather to the beauty and creativity within the country. As the piece began to take form and mould into shape, other creatives began to enter the project to breathe art into the lungs formed by the music.
  
  Anna Veriki is an artist born and raised in Chernihiv in northern Ukraine and now currently lives and works in Kyiv. Veriki has been actively creating and driving her work all throughout the war since it began. Her paintings offer up alternate viewpoints and thought-provoking imagery of what remains and is occurring in Ukraine. From the stark and bleak to physical human beauty, Anna created a painting which captures the essence of the meaning of the project in a clear, open and beautiful way. Her piece symbolises the meaning of our collective message. It’s a country at war, but it’s still strong, thriving and an actively creative place, no matter what the circumstances are.
  
  Ukrainian award-winning fine art photographer Andriy Stefanyshyn was born in Ivano-Frankivsk and now lives in New York. Andriy shot and filmed an array of beautifully captivating aerial footage of the autumnal Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine to work alongside the composition. The all-encompassing mountainous landscape offers up an alternative picture of peace, beauty and tranquillity from behind the scenes of Ukraine during this time of war.
  
  Since 2015, the Voices of Children Charitable Foundation has been providing psychological assistance to children who suffered as a result of hostilities in Ukraine. Today, thanks to donations, the foundation provides psychological support and individual humanitarian aid to families, working with communities and institutions for children throughout the country. The foundation has nine centres and a hotline for free psychological assistance. More than 60 psychologists, psychiatrists and psychotherapists from the Foundation do their best to ensure that Ukrainian children do not lose their childhoods. ... more
